Just how lucky am I to be living in such a cool place.

Sun, Sea & Sand but above all, living in a multicultural society, where lots of cultures mix & match.

Our pick for this Chinese New Year? Long Beach Resort 

We were not disappointed with a room, show & food to match the standard we were expecting.

Having multiple restaurants & being huge, didn't make the hotel feel crowded even though it was 95% full.

I liked: the food, the decor, the service, the shows

I liked (less): the quality of the room, selection of food, having no sauna or hammam

That is why The Art of Elysium is about fashion and The Golden Globes is about shows.

I'm in some serious need of some decoration inspiration/ therapy.
Decoration/style/architecture have always been a passion of mine. Beautiful spaces inspire me.

World's Leading Island Destination 2011: Mauritius

Guess who won World Leading Destination this year? a paradise island name Mauritius!!! Jealous much??Just bear in mind that we were up against destinations like Bali, Barbados, Cook Islands, Crete (Greece), Jamaica, Langkawi (Malaysia), Maldives, Sanya (China), Seychelles, Sicily (Italy), St Lucia, Zanzibar (Tanzania). So let's say today I was exceptionally proud to be a Mauritian.  

FYI we also won in 2009 & 2010. Check out www.tourism-mauritius.mu for more information. 

My realistic side is however wondering where the hell are all the tourists that this award should have attracted.

This January we are saying a goodbye to our stores in Phoenix Leshalles & Harbourfront Centre.

We are sad about it. But that's Life. I call it change.
